๐ฎ Policing in the heart of your neighbourhood ๐ Child Safety Week โ Hartlepool This week, as part of Child Safety Week (1โ7 June), PC Geoff Coggin has been out across Hartlepool engaging with young people to promote safety, awareness, and prevention. Coggy has delivered a series of sessions throughout the week, connecting with young people in a positive and meaningful way. ๐ Monday - Coggy visited a local residential childrenโs home, delivering a 90-minute session covering, general personal safety, identifying trusted adults and staying safe online. ๐ Tuesday - He attended IncludED Education Solutions, delivering an engaging online safety session. Students took part in open discussions around social media, cyberbullying, and recognising risks online. ๐ Thursday - At Hartlepool College of Further Education, Coggy spoke with a group of students about: Violence against women and girls, misogyny and hate. ๐
Friday - Coggy returned to IncludED Education Solutions to deliver a second session focused on phone and online safety. PC Coggin said: โItโs been a fantastic week engaging with young people from across Hartlepool. The sessions have been really well received, with students asking thoughtful questions, taking part in honest discussions and showing a strong understanding of how to keep themselves and others safe. Weโll continue working with schools, colleges and partners to support young people across our community.โ Child Safety Week, led by the Child Accident Prevention Trust, focuses on helping families and young people build confidence to manage risks and stay safe.
